In this piece coincidentally reminiscent of Monet’s Water Lilies, the interplay of light and water results in a poem of colour, seemingly focused on the leaves at first. Yet as the eye takes in the myriad green forms, the ever-changing reflection of restless sky on water emerges as the motif, which belies the tranquil scene, asking, “What do you really see?”
