Artist Profile

Originally hailing from the Philippines, Johnrey Quiban is an architect and mood landscape artist based in Singapore. His emotive canvas explores distant memories and silent feelings often left unexpressed. He is inspired by the stillness of nature and the imperfections of life.

Many of his artworks, created during the pandemic, reflect his homesickness and a universal longing for home and family. As he pondered his own personal beginnings growing up in the Philippines, we see Johnrey’s authentic struggle between despair and hope, as he yearns for an end to the prolonged lockdowns.
