Artist Profile

Stephen Chan is a Christian artist who is also an architect in practice. He received his art and architecture education in Hong Kong and the UK.

Chan’s visual art is diversified. With various mediums, he constantly experiments in the expression of tension, emotion, space and symbolism in art. Chan’s art tends to be deep and rich in intensity, which mirrors the artist’s reflections on life.

In 2016, with the birth of his first child, Chan received a calling from God and shifted his creative focus to Christian art. His mission now is to revive great Christian art in the contemporary art world.

With God’s blessing and providence, Chan set up his art studio in a factory building in Hong Kong. He describes it as “a church in which God’s Word could be visualized and experienced in art”.
