In this dramatic, yet quietly profound piece, a lone horseman seems adrift on the featureless steppes, vulnerable to the elements: clouds amass, a storm imminent. Then the eye sweeps over the vast space to rest upon a tiny cluster of gers (Mongolian yurts) -- a herding family camp. In an instant, the hope of safety, shelter and even comfort is assured, for the nomad’s hospitality is legendary. Enter any ger in the countryside, and a visitor (whether they be friend or stranger) freely receives food, drink and, if needed, a place for the night.

So it is with the Gift given at Christmas: all fears are allayed by Love’s assurance, where the heart finds its true home.
