The majestic old trees and young plants springing up all around were a source of wonder and delight to the artist as he visited various Singapore parks and gardens. With the bright sun above and abundant nutrients and water at the roots, young saplings thrive under careful tending to become the venerable trees of the future. The lush growth reminded him of Isaiah 61:3 and the need to nurture new generations with a view to eternity.
