Originally known as the Methodist Publishing House, MPH is one of Singapore’s oldest booksellers. Constructed in 1908, this iconic Edwardian-style building initially housed the administration and editor's office of the Methodist Publishing House. It subsequently served for decades as the flagship store of MPH Bookstores until 2002 when it was sold.

Though its name and purpose was changed over the years, MPH remains a treasured part of the artist's childhood. She even landed her very first job at MPH after graduation, and this painting stands today as a reminder of her beginnings.
