When Abraham was about to sacrifice his beloved son, Isaac, God provided a Ram as replacement. God knew how much Isaac meant to him and provided an alternative. This was a picture of the coming Messiah and God’s Sacrificial Lamb, Jesus Christ, who would make the one and only Sacrifice for us. “So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided."
