WENDY TSANG
2024
Cyanotype on Watercolour Paper
150 x 150cm
Wendy Tsang's cyanotype painting, "@", is a visual storm. Her bold, energetic brushstrokes, rendered in a vibrant azure blue, evoke the raw power of a tempestuous sea. Our eyes are invigorated by her passionate brushstrokes, sweeping us up in a beautiful azure blue. As the swirling vortex pulls us in, “@” invites us to contemplate the delicate balance between chaos and calm, the stillness we long for ‘@’ in the eye of the hurricane.
When amidst the storm I’m shaken, wearied by the wind and waves;
Lord, within me faith awaken, Jesus, hear me call Your name.
Not to take away the turmoil, not to change the tempest tide;
But to keep a constant vigil, hold me through the sleepless night.
