Consider the Mountains
Oil on Canvas
46 X 36 cm
2019
This is the scenic mountain side of Kyrgyzstan, wild, rustic and refreshing. We are invited onto a journey with much unknown beyond the woods and to scale the mountain. Mountains are places of rich divine revelation. They represent the closest men can be with the divine. Historical accounts reveal varied revelations. Will we experience thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud? Or will we hear a still small voice and wrap our face in our mantle? Or will we see our Saviour in raiment white and glistering?
