Carpenter's Shed - Glory!
WONG SHIH YAW
90cm x 70cm
Acrylic on Canvas
In his first acrylic painting following a series of successful drawings starting in 2020, Shih Yaw decided to explore his imagery using a different medium. Three carpenters are present, alluding to the Holy Trinity: on the ground floor, one releases a dove; on the left balcony, one awaits the return of his loved ones; and on the top balcony, one demonstrates his dexterity by balancing a hammer on his finger. A sign proclaims in English and Chinese characters that this mansion is the Carpenter's Shed.
