Vision

We aim to use art as a platform for newlyweds to reflect on their marital journey together. Under the close guidance and co-painting by our experienced artist, the couple can engage in meaningful conversations of how they envision their marriage to be like, and transform it into artwork worth displaying in their new home. Through the topical discussions, the Wedding Art Experience provides a comfortable environment for the partners to share about their future together. Creating a piece together also celebrates the imminent union of the pair through marriage, serving as a valuable bonding experience.

Beyond the meaningful workshop experience, the artwork will serve to commemorate the couple's commitment to one another in their new home. With artist Glacy Soh’s close guidance throughout the process of conceptualising and painting of the artwork, the piece will look like a professional piece of art, ready to display in the new home.

About the Artist

Glacy Soh will be the artist guiding couples through the process of painting and conversation. She will also be providing touch-up services after the artwork is completed.

Her inspiration behind the Wedding Art Workshop is to help couples to capture the feeling of love as newlyweds on canvas. She hopes that the artwork will remind them of the vows they took and the commitment which they made to each other, even as the romantic feelings may fade as the years pass. Happily married for the past 32 years, Glacy will be able to share her experiences to couples yet to experience the married life, as well as to get them to reflect on their union.

Glacy Soh discovered her passion for art at a young age and took art as an A-Level subject. In 2013 she decided to pick up art again at an art jamming class. Art collectors very soon discovered her art and she experienced overwhelming success. Since then, she has been featured for solo exhibitions at the Chinatown Heritage Centre and features at The Fullerton Shop, Haw Par Villa, Rumah Kim Choo, Changi Airport, Fabricity and Das Erzgebirge Haus Ion Orchard. She has also done collaborations with Dr Tan Lai Yong and Ms Jacqueline Woo for a series entitled "Let Us Consider" that can be found in our gallery.

For the past 30 years, she has been teaching Sunday school at Wesley Methodist Church. Through this workshop, she hopes to impart her knowledge beyond young children to young adults, guiding them in meaningful conversations about marriage.
