SOA-Paulette Lee Talent Development Programme

Congratulations to U. Byambajargal!

In 2022, Sound of Art established the SOA-Paulette Lee Talent Development Programme in memory of Paulette Lee, a beloved family member of the founders. The award, which supports talented emerging artists who have the potential to be developed and excel at the highest level of fine art, saw its first recipient, U. Byambajargal, in early January this year.

The ceremony was held at the founders' home, where Byambajargal attended with his wife and spoke about his journey and practice as a faith-inspired artist. He also expressed his thankfulness for all the support he has received from Sound of Art and our patrons.

"Although I am still near the start of my journey as a professional artist & have begun grinding through my iron wall, I am greatly honoured to receive the inaugural Paulette Lee TDP award & am deeply thankful for this encouragement.” - U. Byambajargal

His recent artistic achievements include the following:

Held in Singapore with his supporters.

Byambajargal talked to a representative from the Embassy of Mongolia in Singapore during his first overseas solo exhibition, “Moving Mountains” (2022).

Following Sound of Art’s mission to promote faith-inspired art, the award acknowledges Byambajargal’s skill and character. It is where we hope to champion his knowledge by providing opportunities to connect with Sound of Art’s network of artists, industry practitioners and clients who are active in faith and art. The award also supports his artistic endeavours financially, encouraging him to continue as a professional artist.

Sound of Art hopes to continue nurturing a new generation of artists like Byambajargal, whose art can touch the spirit and inspire hope and love.
