For those yearning to return home
The United Nations has estimated that over 663,000 displaced people across Afghanistan are without shelter, food and water.
Hagar International will be providing these 4 key relief activities to a target of 13,000 women and children in Kabul:
Food Provision
Giving food aid and basic essentials to existing clients and other vulnerable individuals and families who are currently displaced or whose livelihoods have been severely impacted.
Healthcare
Providing primary healthcare for displaced persons, which includes establishing and running a mobile medical clinic under the care of HAGAR’s in-house doctor.
Emergency Shelter
Establishing an emergency shelter, targetting at-risk homeless girls and women who are significantly more vulnerable at this time. The team in Afghanistan have shared about the rapid increase in women who are begging on the streets, desperate for any bread or cash that they can find.
Safe Spaces
Setting up child-friendly spaces for displaced young children, where they can continue to learn, play and feel safe.
Join us to rebuild their homes
Contribute by Pre-committing to Art
Due to the great response received, we have almost sold out the seats, but here’s how you can contribute:
1. Pre-commit to an artwork
By pre-committing to purchase a piece, you will be able to buy the artwork at its reserve price if it receives no further bids at the auction. The artwork will then go to the highest bidder at the auction.
View the catalogue of artworks here: www.soundof.art/hagarart
2. Commission a new art piece
You can also commission a new artwork that fits your style and home, or as a Christmas gift for your friend. We will put you in contact with your preferred artist for further discussions.
3. Purchase limited edition ‘Freedom masks’
At $35/mask, these limited edition art masks feature resident artist Glacy Soh’s ‘Paravanda Nelson Mandela Orchid’ painting. All masks are made with A*STAR technology, with >95% Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE).
If you have any queries, you can email samantha@soundof.art.

2. Is my donation tax-deductible?
No, the donations are not tax-deductible as Hagar is not an Institutions of a Public Character (IPC). Donations to Hagar Singapore are not tax-exemptible as the funds are used to benefit survivors of trafficking and abuse, locally and globally.
