More about the Freedom Mask

The mask features artwork adapted from a β€˜Paravanda Nelson Mandela Orchid’ painting by our artist Glacy Soh. The meaning of the art is doublefold - the orchid is our nation’s national flower, representing the unity and beauty of Singaporeans caring for each other. Nelson Mandela is an icon for freedom, symbolic of Fei Yue’s humanitarian efforts to raise the needy out of hardship and help them ι£žθ·ƒ (fΔ“i yuΓ¨, meaning to fly in Chinese) or soar higher.

Mask Efficacy

The technology behind our mask material was developed with A*Star Singapore, it has:

  • Fluid repellent outer layer

  • Reinforced filtration layer which blocks off >95% fluid droplets greater than 3 microns

  • Hypoallergic and quick dry inner layer which absorbs exhaled droplets

Manufactured by Forever Family, the company who produced the National Day Fun Pack masks in 2020, you can be assured of the high quality and safety of the masks.

So mask up for a good cause and stay safe!

About the Artist

Glacy Soh, a 59-year-old Singaporean artist, discovered her passion for art at a young age and took art as an A-Level subject. In 2013, she decided to pick up art again at an art jamming class. Art collectors very soon discovered her art and she experienced overwhelming success.

Since then, she has been featured for solo exhibitions at the Chinatown Heritage Centre and features at The Fullerton Shop, Haw Par Villa, Rumah Kim Choo, Changi Airport, Fabricity and Das Erzgebirge Haus Ion Orchard.

She has also done collaborations with Dr Tan Lai Yong and Ms Jacqueline Woo for a series entitled β€œLet Us Consider” that can be found in the local art gallery Sound of Art, as well as an art fundraiser for HCA Hospice Care where she co-created works with terminally ill patients.
